Emilie Roby’s TALOS interdisciplinary project is based on an electroacoustic composition and a booklet, recently published by Les éditions Le Laps (2023). Staging the conjunction between her musical (voice + electroacoustic), performance and writing practices, the work takes place simultaneously in the past, present and future, in a temporal remix from which emerge mainly the themes of memory and water. Whether in the form of bodily fluids, robotic hemorrhages or osmosis, the omnipresence of water invites the audience to experience a universe of vulnerability, urgency and scarcity. Elements, entities and memories invite themselves to this clumsy ballet, which takes place in territories as sonic as forested, mined and borrowed, which the protagonist crosses in plural languages.
